Yuri Matteman is Head of Education of Naturalis Biodiversity Center and program manager of the Nature Learning Center, an expertise center on biodiversity learning. He is a biologist, former teacher and was between 2000 - 2013 director of De Praktijk, an organization specializing in STEM-projects. Yuri Matteman chairs Nature around the corner, a regional and national learning ecosystem project focused on connecting young people in underprivileged areas with nature. He was project leader of Nederland Zoemt, a successful communication and citizen science project on pollinators in the Netherlands, which resulted in the yearly National Bee Count in the Netherlands.
